Carissa Mercik is a freshman at Norwich Free Academy. She plays a variety of sports including; volleyball, soccer, basketball, and softball. Carissa listens to all kinds of music but favors rock, metal and pop-rock, and is teaching herself how to play guitar to be able to play her favorite songs. In her free time she enjoys writing short thriller/adventure stories loosely relating to an actual event that happened in or outside of her life. In the 7th grade she was the fastest typist in the entire school, and has continued to be a quick typer. She joined Journalism in hopes of broadening her areas of writing, and to just try something new.
