Alyssa Friedrich is a junior at Norwich Free Academy who lives in Franklin, Connecticut. This is her first year in a journalism class. Alyssa enjoys reading, writing, and traveling. She also enjoys playing lacrosse and has been on the school team since her freshman year. Unfortunately, Alyssa tore her ACL while playing lacrosse during her freshman year.  Alyssa was determined to play again, worked hard to strengthen her knee, and intends to be better than ever this year. Over this past summer she traveled to Italy. She plans on going back to Italy again in the near future.  She aspires to earn a bachelor's degree in communications.
