Coach Ted Koziol is now in his 4th year as the head coach for both girls and boys track. The captains for this season are Keyshalee Torres, Kyla Rivera, Lindsey Silva, Annabelle Aubin and Helen Muench.
Though the girls track team has lost seniors from last season like Riley Davis and Karina Chan, they have many new comers; Neveah Brown, Lena Dufort, Emma Harrelle, Savannah King, Amanda Muench, Josephina Vocatura, Nikki Young, and Catherine Wilkinson.
The most exciting meet for the season is the ECC championships, a competition against local teams in the Eastern Connecticut Conference. With the team being young this year the expectations are still high.
“The expectations are for us to work hard at every practice so we can steadily improve over the course of the season, if we do this as a team I couldn’t be happier,” Koziol said.
In bigger competitions, the team’s goal is to get top 3 in their ECC meet and top 5 in the class LL division.
